(Pocket-lint) – Microsoft’s November Xbox software update includes Discord voice chat support, live streaming support, and many other new features.
As new updates become available for download, they add new features and improve others on your Xbox. First on the list is the new Discord voice chat support, including noise suppression. People can now join Discord voice channels without fear from the party and chat portion of the Xbox built-in software. There’s also a preview of who’s on the server or voice channel, so you can see it before joining.
When joining that audio channel, Xbox now supports noise suppression to filter out “dog barks and keyboard ticks.”
Other notable improvements relate to gifts. You can now share your Xbox wishlist with friends and family. Friends and family can receive notifications and see what you want. You can also choose to be notified when items on your wish list go on sale, making it easier than ever to save money.
The final big addition is the ability to start a live stream directly from your Xbox with Twitch, Livestream and Streamlabs. As a result of the change, the Twitch app is now only for viewing streams, not creating streams.
Plus, there are improved power management options, recommendations to improve your Xbox experience, and more. You can learn more about all the small improvements in our Xbox update announcement.
